Not long to go now until December 19th’s big fight at heavyweight on Netflix between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul.
Ahead of the fight Joshua has said he is not underestimating Jake Paul, mentioning there is always a new generation of young fighters coming through wanting to essentially take his scalp as as a former heavyweight champion.
On the fact of it he appears genuine and is down in weight early as well under the 244 pounds weight terms as agreed for the bout.
But that doesn’t always tell the full story.
It isn’t very clear who is actually training Anthony Joshua, which is a concern. Nor is it clear who he is sparring with ahead of the contest.

Paul however is getting high level sparring with some of the world’s leading heavyweight contenders and is faster than ever at the moment.
Joshua when all is said and done comes into this fight off the back of the worst knockout seen in the heavyweight division of the 21st century against Daniel Dubois last year only.
That wasn’t a knockout.
It was an execution.
Time will tell how he even reacts to getting into a live prize fight ring again under the big lights again, which ultimately, is very different from sparring and training.
There is no telling how mentally he will react to that, under the lights in a live professional heavyweight fight is different from sparring and the last time he was under those lights it was not a good night for him last year against Daniel Dubois.
Talk is really going on now ahead of Paul vs Joshua, roll on.
