Daniel Dubois had a stoppage loss to Oleksandr Usyk earlier this year but that should not deter him in whatever is next.
He went in there with all time great at the end of the day who has beat and is still beating everyone.
Some are quick to write off fighters after a heavy defeat like that, but it is important to realize as well that heavyweight boxing comes with that risk where anyone, even Muhammad Ali, if he gets caught right on the button at the right time, by a heavyweight, can be knocked down.
It is almost like a different sport entirely.
It is the only division in all of boxing where there is no weight limits as well, fighters can way anything over 200 pounds basically up to any limit.
Dubois as well was and still is developing into an excellent world champion in the making.
What Next For ‘Dynamite’ Daniel Dubois
Only last year he recorded maybe the biggest knockout in the heavyweight division of the 21st century when he took out Anthony Joshua inside the distance.
It will be good to see him back soon and in there with high level competition, there’s no really need to build his confidence back, he will never lose that.
One great fight would be Moses Itauma and it would be an all UK clash too and would possibly sell out a smaller stadium, maybe not Wembley but possibly Tottenham Hotspurs or the Emirates even.
Dubois has some great people around him and Hall of Fame Promoter Frank Warren will bring him back as well.
The heavyweight division is very competitive now and obviously everyone wants a shot at Usyk but Usyk has earned his right to pick and choose opponents and opportunities now.
He fought for it.
Dubois will be knocking on the door of title shots sooner or later again we believe.
With all the talk on Joshua vs Paul at the moment, don’t forget Dubois viciously knocked out Joshua last year (per the above photo).
