What It Is About The Comeback Story In Boxing That Goes Outside Of Sport

Boxers at all levels amateur and pro bring these stories to life but professional boxing does this more than any sport there is.

That’s the comeback stories.

Of course, in recent years, there’s been a lot of former world champions and big name fighters coming back to the sport.

Maybe more so than any other time we can recall over the last 30 years or so at least.

Many of them have been successful comebacks too.

Some great stories.

What It Is About The Comeback Story In Boxing That Goes Outside Of Sport

Years ago the big one at heavyweight of course was Ali coming back after years away from the sport due to outside factors not of his fault from some crooks in the government and the Vietnam war at the time.

He came back better and bigger than ever and champion again too.

Mike Tyson came back from a false charge he never did and still denies to this day when he returned to boxing after prison and battered the likes of Frank Bruno and others and became heavyweight champion again.

George Foreman to this day is still the oldest heavyweight champion that ever lived and again, came back to win the title years later after been away from the highest level of the sport (professional world championship boxing) for some time.

People love the comeback story.

There is just something about it.

You cannot break a man and champion who cannot be broken – Foreman, Ali, Tyson and many more have all shown that in their comebacks in boxing and in life.

Tyson today is literally a one man entrepreneurial and sporting international powerhouse so much so that governments and companies around the world outside of America are constantly getting him to help their countries on different things.

What is the greatest comeback in boxing of all time?

Who knows.

There’s been so many over the years it is hard to keep count.

Manny Pacquiao’s comeback this year was quite something it must be said though.
