Derek Chisora Reacts To Conor Benn Defeating Chris Eubank Jr

The UK heavyweight legend is no stranger to big stadium fights and big events in the UK and was on hand after to give his reaction here.

‘Delboy’ Derek Chisora is one of boxing’s good guys and larger than life personalities.

Not quite done yet as a fighter either, he’s expected to have another bout at some point soon — could be his last one.

He was at the Eubank Jr vs Benn rematch this weekend in London.

Speaking to Boxing King Media after the fight Chisora said of the fight:

“I preferred the first fight; it was much nicer. This one was a bit quiet. Conor came in, boxed, boxed. I knew Conor was going to do that, you know. It was great. But are we going to see that again? Do we want to see that again? No. It’s done.”

He is possibly right there.

The second fight was conclusive and Eubank Jr clearly doesn’t need to try to make that weight again.

Benn will go back to welterweight or 154 pounds and Eubank Jr can continue on up at super-middleweight 168 pounds with issue.

The exact same old weight class his father Eubank senior fought at and won the world title at many years ago, alas.

Nigel Benn, his old rival, focused on Eubank senior mostly here in his reaction to his son defeating Eubank Jr this weekend.
