Deontay Wilder Makes Bold Claim On Career Longevity

WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has made a rather big claim on how long he will be around in the sport of professional boxing.

Wilder recently returned to action at the highest level in professional boxing in some style.

He got the win inside the distance in his comeback fight.

It was a low key fight but nonetheless, he got the cob webs off and got back in the winners circle.

Per Boxing Scene he’s said he could be in boxing for another ten years however.

That’s seems like a very long time.

He is intent on trying to unify the division but at 39 that would put him still in boxing at 49 years of age.

That would be much older than George Foreman winning the heavyweight title at 45 – the record at heavyweight for oldest champion.

Wilder is in talks with a fight with Francis Ngannou next up but has also expressed interest in fighting Jake Paul as well.
