Algerian Boxer Imane Khelif Appeals Gennady Golovkin'S World Boxing Ban

The controversial Algerian boxer Imane Khelif from the last Olympics was recently banned by the official governing world body in amateur boxing.

That is World Boxing who were appointed to govern and run the sport at the next Olympics in LA 2028.

It is chaired and lead by former middleweight champion and boxing legend Gennady Golovkin.

Recently the organization banned Khelif due to not being willing to take a sex gender test per their guidelines.

Now, France 24 has reported that the boxer has filed an appeal against the ban.

The appeal was filed in the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
