Terence Crawford is one of the best pound for pound boxers in the world today, as is Canelo Alvarez, but ahead of their fight there has been news.
The two continue to train ahead of their massive fight on September 13th live on Netflix in a huge showdown for the sport.
The bout will take place in Vegas and will be for Alvarez’ titles at super-middleweight.
Not many realize, as Dan Rafael has pointed out, that the WBA have now told Terence Crawford that when he faces Alvarez and moves up in weight, they will no longer see him as WBA champion at super-welterweight any longer.
Terence Crawford Will Lose One Of His Belts To Face Canelo
Moving from 154 pounds to 168 pounds to fight Alvarez has cost ‘Bud’ Crawford one title there.
But that won’t bother him of course.
The Canelo fight is bigger than belts and titles.
The event is one of the few that transcends the entire sport of boxing.
Because of what Crawford is attempting and the fact both are pound for pound stars in the sport.
Not to mention the likes of Netflix, TKO, UFC, WWE and others promoting the fight.
