Not many outside of boxing know about him yet but that will change as time goes on.

Rolly Romero Sticks Up For Devin Haney In Brian Norman Fight

He’s in a high profile fight next up against US boxing star Devin Haney. Brian Norman Jr fights Devin Haney on November 22nd in Saudi Arabia for the WBO 147 pounds title, with the fight being shown on DAZN. It will represent Norman’s 29th fight as a professional (his current record being 28-0-22 KO).

Ahead of the fight world champion Rolly Romero said on X:

“It’s disrespectful how little of a shot you guys are giving Devin in this Norman fight. Y’all forget Devin has a world level jab and a world level skill set. I like Norman too, he got crazy power. I think this will be a very good fight. May the best man win.”

It is a little strange that people are writing off Devin Haney in the fight certainly. Haney didn’t have his best fight last time out in NY but he got the job done and won on points. He will want to make things right in November and win the world title while moving up in weight to welterweight as well. Haney won’t have to drain himself to make weight anymore as well, he will have much speed at 147lbs.
