The schedule for the upcoming Golden Boy Promotions fights is now been set despite one or two stumbling blocks recently for the company.
Largely the very public spat between their star fighter Ryan Garcia and their owner of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar De La Hoya.
It is not clear when Garcia will fight next but there is some movement elsewhere.
Oscar De La Hoya Reveals Important Update To Golden Boy Schedule For 2 Of Their Main Fighters
Boxing Kingdom on the X platform have pointed out:
“Oscar De La Hoya has stated that Golden Boy are close to announcing their new boxing schedule. This will include Floyd Schofield’s return and a big fight for Vergil Ortiz.”
Vergil Ortiz and Floyd Schofield are two of the brightest professional boxing prospects in America at the moment.
Ortiz might be one of the biggest punchers in the sport pound for pound as well.
22 year old Schofield is unbeaten in 19 fights (19-0-13 KO) and defeated Tevin Farmer in his last bout.
Vergil Ortiz is 27 years old and is currently 23-0-21 KO at the moment.
It is important to remember Golden Boy still promote some other outstanding fighters in the sport such as Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (cruiserweight world champion), William Zepeda and Arnold Barboza Jr.
