Marlon Taples goes to Japan as the Filipino world champion meets up with, trains and learns from one of the all time great Japanese fighters.
That’s the King of Japan of course, Naoya ‘The Monster’ Inoue.

Speaking on social media Tapales posted the above photo with Inoue and said:
“Finished my second week of training in Japan. Thanks to Naoya Inoue for the great training sessions. I’m learning a lot every day. In life, no matter the circumstances, learning never stops.”
Everyone knows about Pacquiao, Donaire and some others, but Filipino Marlon Tapales is one of the great Filipino boxers of these times.
That more should be known about in the West.
Tapales is a two weight world champion with a record of 40-4-21 KO.
Inoue goes back to work next month himself — in Japan on September 14th.
