Lamont Roach and Zepeda faced off and had their last remarks to one another before they get in there on Saturday night to fight in boxing.
Weigh-ins are tomorrow for the fight in Vegas but the final press conference ended a short time ago.
Both boxers said to one another in closing statements.
Zepeda:
“First off, I want to say that I’m thankful for everyone for being here. Lamont is respectful outside the ring, but when he’s inside that ring, he’s a monster. He’s a beast. And I’m the same way. It’s going to be a war on Saturday. We’re excited and we can’t wait to have everybody here.”
Lamont Roach:
“The fans–I can’t wait for y’all to tune in and be in tune to this fight, man. It’s going to be one to remember. I want to thank everybody that’s part of my team: my dad, the whole No Excuses team, Roach, PBC, Tom Brown, Mauricio, Robert Diaz, Gary, and everyone else.”
This has the makings of a barnstormer of a fight.
Both can really fight if they need to but Roach might be the slightly slicker of the boxers.
He can dig in and really fight if he has to also though.
Zepeda has some excellent boxing at times also.
Do not discount Mexican Zepeda against Lamont Roach from the US in this one.
Zepeda might be an underdog to some but a very live dog in this fight.
