Floyd Mayweather is in a real mess at the moment in boxing and in life. It is all coming at him at once crashing in on top of him.
Once one of the bright stories of American professional sport and society, at the moment Floyd is a crashing dumpster fire.
Gasoline being heaped on top of him more and more every day as the blaze of his demise sets all 50 States of the United States of America alight.
Here are some notes on some of the happenings for him at the moment.
- He faces two felony charges in Nevada for passing a $200,000 bad check to buy a luxury watch.
- The watch was an Audemars Piguet purchased on New Year’s Eve in 2024.
- If convicted, he could face up to 24 years in prison.
- The store tried to collect quietly for over a year before pressing charges.
- The store sent a certified demand letter, but Mayweather allegedly ignored it.
- He now has an active federal tax lien from the IRS for over $7.2 million.
- The IRS has notified him of its intention to revoke his US passport over the debt.
- Losing his passport would halt his lucrative international exhibition fights.
- A planned fight in Greece is now in jeopardy because of the passport issue.

- Despite earning over $1 billion, his high spending led to this crisis.
- He has sold off mansions and his private jet to raise cash.
- His planned “return to boxing” is now overshadowed by these legal battles.

Apparently he had a slight victory outside of the ring recently via one of his exhibitions, the one in Greece, apparently being able to go ahead.
But there has been nothing about it since and he did not exactly get on a plane to Greece in a hurry back to announce the rearranged date for the bout.
Let’s see what Mayweather does next.
