Mike Tyson was court side at the basketball game in Vegas at the weekend but there could be some movement on boxing for him.
Tyson had looked a bit jaded recently and worse for the wear.
More like his days from the movie ‘The Hangover’ and you would wonder is ‘Iron’ Mike back on the alcohol these days.
He had meant to be due to box fellow US boxing big name Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition in Africa back in April.
But due to issues on Mayweather’s side the bout was called off and it was not to do with alleged hand injuries to Tyson it turns out.
Now however Mayweather vs Tyson has been given a new date to target of September 26th in Dallas, Texas, USA.
The original date was back in April in the Congo in Africa where they claimed they were going to use the ring from the ‘Rumble in the Jungle’.
The iconic fight in Zaire that happened back in the day between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman.
The September 26th date is a spurious one though and looks highly unreliable given Mayweather’s many plights outside the ring at the moment.
He was granted a minor win in court recently that may let him do these exhibitions and one in Greece as well, but it is still shaky.
There is nothing certain when it comes to Floyd Mayweather and the truth it the above date is something they will try to do.
Who knows if Mayweather and Tyson will make it to that date and actually fight.
Very doubtful.
Floyd Mayweather currently has a professional boxing record of 50-0-27 KO.
Mike Tyson’s pro boxing record reads 50 wins, 7 losses and 2 no-contests with 44 of his triumphs as a prize fighter and professional puglist coming by knockout.
