Andy Ruiz Apparently Claims He Is Still Coming Back

Andy Ruiz apparently claims he is still coming back in his latest but things are not adding up with him in boxing.

Not lately anyway they are not.

Sure, he’s been back training.

But he keeps coming with talk that he is coming back for a long time now then nothing happens.

We don’t see any fights signed. He said this weekend:

“I want to have an eliminator and then a title shot. That’s what I want. Because I haven’t been in the game for a while, I think it’s important to get a tune-up fight first. I don’t really like calling them “tune-up fights” because I don’t underestimate any fighter. Any fighter can be dangerous — even if people call him the lowest bum or whatever, he’s still dangerous. But that’s what I want to do. I want to test the waters, like I always tell my cousin.”

There’s plenty of boxers in America and worldwide he can fight at heavyweight.

The former heavyweight champion once beat Anthony Joshua to become the first Mexican of descent heavyweight champion ever.

His fast hands were the difference that night and if he gets back into the ring, with the weak state the division is in, he could be a force.

Here’s a list of possible opponents in 2026 for Andy Ruiz Jr if he does comeback soon:

  • Anthony Joshua – Trilogy fight with bad blood
  • Deontay Wilder – Explosive former champion clash
  • Daniel Dubois – Solid step-up comeback test
  • Joseph Parker – Rematch option
  • Zhilei Zhang – Southpaw power puncher
  • Jared Anderson – Young undefeated prospect
  • Fabio Wardley – Rising British contender and former heavyweight champion
  • Moses Itauma – Emerging heavyweight star
  • Agit Kabayel – Tough ranked operator
  • Tyson Fury – Big-money scrap

Who knows what fights he will be in next in boxing.

Here was Andy Ruiz training not too long ago.
