Tyson Fury will not fight Anthony Joshua immediately this summer due to one of the strangest opponent choices reportedly ever.
It is not official yet and not confirmed but a short time ago many are reporting that former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua of the UK will take on a boxer called Kristian Prenga on July 25 in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.
Ahead of a fight then with Tyson Fury later in the year this year after that, according to many.
True garbage.
Fans online and people around the world have said the same on Joshua’s own Facebook page:

One boxing fan said it best above there.
Not even Google has heard of him.
Here’s some facts on him.
Kristian Prenga
- Record: 20-1 with 20 KOs. He has a 100% knockout rate — every win is by stoppage.
- Nationality: Born in Orosh, Albania. He’s ranked #1 all-time among Albanian heavyweights by BoxRec.
- Age & size: Born Jan 24, 1991 — he’s 35 years old. Stands 6’5″ and weighs around 260 lbs.
- Background: Former 2-time European kickboxing champion. Turned pro in boxing in 2016 with zero amateur boxing matches.
- Only loss: Lost on points in his 5th pro fight to Giovanni Auriemma in Feb 2017. He had stopped Auriemma 4 months earlier.
- Current streak: Riding a 16-fight win streak and 14-fight KO streak. Last fight: TKO’d Juan Torres in 2 rounds on Jan 18, 2025.
- U.S. base: Has fought exclusively in the United States since 2022. Now lives/fights out of Edgewater, New Jersey.
- Style: Self-described as a “big puncher” who doesn’t talk much — “I just work hard in the gym”. Manager Keith Sullivan calls him “relentless, disciplined and unapologetically ambitious”.
- Recent activity: Fought “Mighty” Joe Jones on Feb 21, 2026 in Atlantic City. Stopped him at 1:57 of round 1 after 3 knockdowns.
- Goal: Doesn’t just want to be Albania’s best — “What I really want is to be the heavyweight champion of the world”.
Apparently the Fury vs Joshua fight is close to be signed but this is not a fight for Joshua that anyone asked for.
To say the least.
Joshua was even taken six rounds by a novice blown up cruiserweight in Jake Paul in his last fight.
This is another step back for Anthony Joshua as the sport of boxing takes many steps forward now and continues to advance.
