The age factor with Mayweather 49 vs Pacquiao 47 cannot be underestimated in the rematch.
The super fight between Mayweather and Pacman this September live on Netflix will see them compete for a second time eleven years removed from bout 1 back in 2015.
Both are near 50 now which usually would mean that a boxer isn’t able to compete at their best anymore at top flight world championship boxing.
Not the case with these two however.
Pacman only last year drew with former world champion Mario Barrios and most thought he actually won the fight. Mayweather trains year round no matter where he is regularly enough and keeps himself in strong condition.
He also used a boxing style of hit and not got hit and took little damage in his career and is really like most mid twenty pro boxers in terms of stamina and ability at the highest level still.
That said, his legs are not what they were years ago and it is in this Pacman will surely look to focus in on and make an advantage of.
If Pacman can get those old legs working overtime from round one and push a ferocious pace on him from round one, this is something where age might become a factor.
Pacman is no spring chicken himself however and Mayweather might look to use the jab and keep the fight long and keep him at bay with it.
But not get lazy with the jab and be more accurate with it than the first fight.
Both are still if they train well for the fight and take preparation deadly serious to get in supreme shape, still able to mix it with the best of them at welterweight.
McGregor thinks Mayweather wins easy but Pacman has started his training very early for this and is putting in the road work already.
He will look to get in freakish shape and defy the odds again.
There is no pressure on Pacman in that sense as he will be the underdog in the fight.
It is still one of the biggest fights in boxing this year and in recent years.
Expect it do break some records for Netflix.
