Mario Barrios Has No Pressure On Him Vs Ryan Garcia

All the pressure is on Ryan Garcia.

This weekend it’s the big fight in the US between Mario Barrios and Ryan Garcia and both boxers will want to put right not great performances last time out in 2025.

Both were not at their best last year.

Garcia losing on points in a world title fight to Rolly Romero in a bout that he should have won going into it on paper.

Most thought he would have done so. Not the case. Romero beat him on points.

Mario Barrios had a draw with a boxing legend last year in a fight that maybe some thought he would win against Filipino boxing icon Pacman.

He didn’t though and the fight was declared a draw.

Many thought Pacman deserved to get the nod on the scorecards as well.

So both have a lot of fire in them to come into this full force all guns blazing this weekend.

The interesting thing though is the contrasting style of personalities, Garcia gives it the big one on social media with all his ingenuine stuff often that America and Americans across the country see through now.

But he remains a fast and powerful fighter at welterweight and is for now relevant in boxing with many social media followers.

Barrios on the other hand reminds us of someone like Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico. Although Barrios has Mexican roots his stoic, silent nature is the total opposite to the loud, brash Garcia in reality.

They say the loudest man in the room is often the weakest one.

It is true.

In the sport of boxing styles make fights and the styles of these two boxers can be very entertaining and then some.

When you look at both Barrios and Garcia fights, more or less, they are usually in excellent fights for fans and that’s why many tune in.

Barrios can pop a bit as well when he is on form and Garcia can crack a bit as well when he is somewhat focused at least.

For us though Barrios has no real pressure as we see it on him. He’s a big underdog in this one and that can play to his advantage if he stick’s to his best attributes and takes away Garcia’s early on in the contest.

All in all, we expect a good scrap here and fans and boxing should come away the winners again this weekend.

So many great fights happening all the time now.

That’s what we want.

What boxing needs.

More great fights.

More knockouts.

More wars.
