The UK’s Josh Warrington of Leeds returns again this week, once again.
He has been around for a while now a former world champion and not long ago was one of the UK’s best world champions in boxing in our view.
He got good promotion at the time, it’s not like he didn’t, but for some reason he never really gets the credit he deserves for his boxing ability
and of course his resilience and toughness.
Outside of the UK at least.
Strange as he’s a former world champion as well.
His fans in Leeds in the UK are loyal and this weekend he returns against Leigh Wood in a big fight that might get lost in the whole weekend ahead of hugely big and important
fights in the sport of boxing.
This weekend Claressa Shields fights a major fight in the US and obviously there’s the big Mario Barrios vs Ryan Garcia fights and cards as well.
So to forget about Josh Warrington vs Leigh Woods could easily happen especially for new fans to boxing who might not be familiar with how good the Josh Warrington fights can be.
They are excellent.
If you are a new fan to boxing with all the new great news happening in the sport at the moment, Josh Warrington fights always deliver great action in the boxing ring.
Josh Warrington still after all these years might be one of the most underestimated boxers in all of the sport.
Despite being a former world champion and one of the sport’s true unbreakable fighting men. A resilient man in boxing and away from the sport.
You can’t keep a good thing down and that is the same for Josh Warrington.
A tiny few will be underestimating him this weekend against Leigh Wood.
Foolish.
As people like Oscar De La Hoya decline in boxing the same not true of someone like Warrington.
For those unfamiliar with him or maybe new to boxing, some background on him ahead of this weekend’s big fight:
