Watch: Brandon Figueroa and Nick Ball Teams Brawl In The Ring Post Fight

Brandon Figueroa

True carnage and mayhem. Real chaos.

Brandon Figueroa got the win in some fashion this weekend coming from behind to get the knockout victory.

Becoming a three-weight world champion and bringing the WBA title back to the US but there was some concerning scenes in the ring after the fight:

Some conflicting information on what had gone on there and what was happening post-fight.

Here’s the facts of what we actually know on the above at this point:

  • Right after the referee waved it off, Figueroa’s team rushed in to celebrate while Ball was still on the canvas/recovering.
  • British super-bantamweight Andrew Cain (who won his own fight earlier on the same card) ran over and tried to kick Figueroa’s physical trainer, Matías Erbin.
  • It was a clear attempted kick (caught on video) during the chaos in the ring.
  • This sparked a brief melee between both camps; fans also threw beer and objects toward the ring.
  • Most boxing fans and commentators called it embarrassing and unprofessional — especially from a pro boxer who should know better.
  • No serious injuries, no one was seriously hurt, but it was the ugly ending to an otherwise great fight.

That’s the facts of what happened. Surely that won’t happen again.

This weekend was all about the big Brandon Figueroa knockout here.
