Ryan Garcia challenges WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios later this month for the world title.
The two are in fact being tested by VADA at the moment ahead of the fight despite some claiming they are not.

Clearly both are being tested ahead of the fight. As is the case with all major world title fights in pro boxing.
This comes at a time where the WBC and all the other belt organizations are in terrible trouble and shape however.
Many champions continue to move on from all of them. Vacate their belts and make fights that fans genuinely want to see now.
The people demand the best fight the best all the time now.
Nothing else will do.
The boxing market has changed for the better and the best fighting the best is more and more what the consumer are used to now.
There is no going back to bad matchmaking and champions fighting spurious mandatory or voluntary contenders that the general public may not have heard of.
Nor want to see.
This will never change now.
The era of great fights is here to stay and will only get better daily and weekly in the sport moving forward.
