Jamar Talley continued his undefeated journey in professional boxing a short time ago on Zuffa 02 at the Apex.
In the second installment of Paramount Plus being in boxing things went a bit better tonight.
More knockouts and better production.
Here was the inside counter right hand that his opponent left wide open for him to counter with after a wild swing and a miss:
Very crisp, short, chopping counter right hand there on the inside to end proceedings.
He looks to have good ability already. For those new to boxing that might not have heard of him — some brief background:
- Record update: Now 6-0 (5 KOs) after a 2nd-round KO (at 2:59) over Devonte Williams at Zuffa Boxing 02 in Las Vegas.
- Age & background: Born February 2, 2000 (turned 26 on fight day); from Camden, New Jersey; nicknamed “No Mercy.”
- Physical stats: Height 6’2″–6’3″ (188–191 cm); orthodox stance; fights at cruiserweight (~200 lbs).
- Recent win details: Dominant performance with body work and a finishing overhand/uppercut; first fight of the card, streamed on Paramount+ at Meta APEX.
- Amateur pedigree: Strong resume with international experience (e.g., 5th at 2021 World Championships, gold at 2023 Gee Bee & 2022 AMBC Elite, bronze at 2023 Strandja); 2nd at 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials; aimed for Paris 2024 but turned pro.
- Pro style: Power puncher with high KO rate; viewed as a rising undefeated prospect in cruiserweight division.
Good card and well done on the win.
Lots of knockouts in boxing over the weekend.
