Shakur Stevenson is on the attack on fight week against his rival Teofimo Lopez and won’t back down and will never change this.
That is the way Stevenson is and hopefully the fight will be good this weekend.
It is one in a sense for the purists of boxing who enjoy the sweet science of boxing.
But also the wild and unpredictable Lopez at times who still has fast hands and some punching power.
Stevenson suggested ahead of the fight though that there might be some issues with what Lopez is doing to his brain:
Stevenson will luck to follow that up with some punches into the head of Lopez physically shortly.
Lopez for his part continues to be for us a shell of his former self.
Very subdued and almost disinterested at times.
He doesn’t seem in a good place whereas Stevenson is conserving energy at the moment and saving his steps and energy for the fight.
Stevenson and Lopez’ training teams even got into a bit of a confrontation here earlier on.
