Shakur Stevenson On Why He Thinks Teofimo Lopez Is Nervous

Shakur Stevenson is looking to become a four-weight world champion this weekend and gives away some size and power to Teofimo Lopez.

But that is not getting in his way obviously.

He believes Lopez is rattled and nervous. We and many others agree.

Speaking to Ring Magazine ahead of the fight in a shoulder program and interview Stevenson said:

“I just don’t understand how he can delude his brain into believing that when he didn’t make Steve Claggett—that’s his name, Steve Claggett—quit. He didn’t make him quit. He didn’t make George Kambosos quit. He did not make Lomachenko quit. So what in the world makes him think that he’s going to make me quit?”

Nerves are clearly getting to Lopez.

One someone is nervous they start acting differently to how they usually do. Their usual routine is off.

We believe this to be the case with Lopez.

He has been rather strangely under the weather and then all of a sudden very conflicting in his statements in the media.

This results in good news for Stevenson if he can capitalize on it.

That is what he will look to do.

Stevenson is looking to pursue greatness again this weekend.

He has already achieved it in our view but he needs to keep adding to it in his resume.

He must keep improving and dominate everything that he fights for more greatness.
