Ali vs modern?

Ali Vs Modern

Ali vs modern boxers in today’s times of professional boxing comes up a lot. Let us take a more clear look at that though.

Muhammad Ali in many ways is in a league of his own compared to modern day professional boxers.

Even compared to modern day heavyweights. That was his division after all.

Surely even Oleksandr Usyk the current King and undefeated heavyweight champion would say as much.

Same with Tyson Fury, Moses Itauma and others.

Ali had speed that would have made modern day heavyweights flinch with fear to see what was coming at them. They would be surprised
right away with Ali’s hand speed and foot speed.

Andy Ruiz Jr has maybe some of the fastest hands for pure hand speed out of any heavyweight around at the moment but Ali was maybe three times faster.

None of them would know what hit them with Ali. That’s the truth. He would land combinations on any of them and be gone out of harms way before they even thought of firing anything back.

He would bamboozle and batter them and knock them out cold.

That’s how Ali would get on vs modern heavyweights of today’s times. That is the cold truth.

Muhammad Ali for us and many is the greatest heavyweight that ever lived.

Maybe of Usyk boxed to absolute best and boxed out of skin, maybe he would stand a chance of dealing with that level of speed.

That level of genius. That level of heart. That level of fighting spirit. That level of killer coming at him.

Ali in his prime against Cleveland Williams and other fighters back in the day was a scary individual for those who had the bottle to actually step in there with them.

Sonny Liston found that out as well and he was the most feared heavyweight boxer that ever lived. More than Mike Tyson and Jack Dempsey even.

Tyson Fury if he boxed to his absolute best and went above what he produced in his genius win over Wladimir Klitshko would have given him some problems as well with his height and boxing ability.

But Ali simply was ahead of his time for us. Too good. Too slick. Too fast. Just a better heavyweight than modern day boxers.
