2026 has got off to an all guns blazing start in boxing this year and this will only increase daily as time goes on, good news.

The sport continues to grow to new levels and more big fights and events are being made all the time.

Zuffa Boxing have already started signing a number of prospects and world champions and talks ahead suggest Usyk might be next.

Now their second event is confirmed for Las Vegas on February 1st 2026.

The fight capital of the world will see their second card feature Jose ‘Rayo’ Valenzuela will face Diego Torrez.

More outstanding professional boxers signed again by Zuffa, Turki Alalshikh, Dana White, TKO and others.

For new fans to boxing whom are not familiar on the above, some quick facts:

It’s the main event of Zuffa Boxing 2, set for Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the UFC APEX (META Apex) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The bout is scheduled for 10 rounds at a catchweight (Valenzuela recently fought at 140 lbs, Torres is primarily lightweight; exact weight not yet finalized in announcements).

Valenzuela’s pro record: 14-3 (9 KOs); Torres’: 22-1 (19 KOs).

Valenzuela (26, southpaw, 5’9″, from Renton, WA, born in Los Mochis, Mexico) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Gary Antuanne Russell in March 2025, after winning the WBA super lightweight title vs. Isaac Cruz in 2024.

Torres (28, from Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico) has massive knockout power with a ~86% KO rate.This is Zuffa Boxing’s second event overall.

The fight streams exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S.

Valenzuela’s nickname “El Rayo” means “The Lightning”; Torres’ “Azabache” refers to black jet stone, symbolizing his dark, powerful style.

No referee assigned yet (listed as N/A).Announced recently (mid-January 2026), it’s a comeback opportunity for Valenzuela against a dangerous puncher in Torres.
