Johnny Nelson is one of the people in boxing we respect most, that is not easy to do, he has earned it.
A great technical boxing champion as the WBO cruiserweight champion and an outstanding human being and commentator in the sport away from it.
Sky or anyone are lucky to have him as an analyst, like anyone, he doesn’t get it always right, but is not often far off most of the time.
Johnny Nelson Lashes Out At Naseem Hamed
He was a stable mate before with one Prince Naseem Hamed some years ago and has batted back against Hamed on some stuff now:

Brendan Ingle of Dublin Ireland who moved to Sheffield in the UK who opened up their legendary boxing gym was right in the end we believe to deal with the then arrogant Hamed how he did.
Showing him the door basically.
Mexican Marco Antonio Barrera did the rest then and ended Hamed and battered him.
Hamed’s comments years ago also on ITV about Chris Eubank Jr needing to retire some years ago now were completely shown to be way off as of 2026.
Eubank Jr went on to have his best career win in fact in 2025 in the first fight with Conor Benn that he won on points.
Big respect to Hamed’s son however — Adam Hamed — good fighter in the making — we think Adam Hamed can make it big if he keeps working and improving every day.
He has a great promoter as well with him in legendary promoter Frank Warren as well.
