What Fans Want And World Title Organizations Want Simply Don'T Work Anymore

The customer is always right, you the customer, the boxing fan, are responsible for professional boxing as without you buying or going to fights there is no professional boxing.

Professional boxing is about hitting and not getting hit and being exciting (to sell tickets and fights).

Lately there has been a big push back against some of the world title organizations from the biggest name and best boxers in the world such as Oleksandr Usyk (who vacated his WBO title recently) and Terence Crawford who has since retired.

Fans want to see the best boxers fight the best boxers in the world and they want to see the best fights.

What Fans Want And World Title Organizations Want Simply Don’t Work Anymore

It is that simple.

That is what fans demand and that is what they will get.

Some of these organizations are creating mandatory challengers for fights fans did not ask for, nor fighters did, hence there is no demand for them.

If the world title organizations don’t get their act together they will fall by the way side and will no longer be relevant anymore.

Especially with the new organizations and governments coming to boxing this year.

As well as the amendments to the Muhammad Ali Act.

The world title organizations must do what the consumer wants or cease to exist soon — that’s make more undisputed fights, more world title unification fights and more generally big world title fights that are compelling that fans want to see.

Not a big name world champion fighting some unknown name not really known, the mandatory contender functions has to be scrapped and improved in some cases to reflect market demand.
