Boxing is now up and running already in the new year.
Serrano got the victory a short time ago. She won by wide points decision in Puerto Rico over Reina Tellez.
It was a homecoming fight in Puerto Rico but Serrano still has lost to Katie Taylor who remains the better boxer in their fights so far.
Boxing World Reacts To 1st Amanda Serrano Fight Of 2026
Here’s the reaction to the result a short time ago from some of the boxing community:

Skye Nicolson would be a big fight in terms of a name for Serrano to fight other than Katie Taylor.
Serrano remains a very unmarketable champion thus far and despite having good promotion and management, has never become the star that Katie Taylor or Claressa Shields have.
Katie Taylor remains victor over Serrano in all their fights:
April 30, 2022: Taylor won by split decision.
November 15, 2024: Taylor won by unanimous decision.
July 11, 2025: Taylor won by majority decision.
Amanda Serrano currently has a professional boxing record of 48-4-1-31KO.
The titles were only on the line for Serrano today as the opponent came in over weight and Serrano defended the WBO world title.
