Some fellas you could hit with an iron bar all day long and you still can’t knock him down, and they’d simply laugh in your face spitting blood as they laugh back at you smiling unfazed.
But that isn’t for everyone, those type of men are crazy stuff, you’re talking your Steve Collins of Dublin Ireland, Chris Eubank of England, Arturo Gatti of Canada type tough, Tyson Fury of England type tough.
But boxing is not a tough guy sport, its a game of smarts, at its highest level — the best fighters like Terence Crawford, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Ray Robinson, Ali in his prime before he boxed on too long, they all used brains in there — and still were not boring fighters.
Boxers Over Relying On An Iron Chin
Relying on an iron chin is not good for professional boxing after a while as if those fighters continue boxing like that and using the rope a dope strategy invariably they get hurt badly at some point and as well the chin doesn’t last at that rate.
Same with having real fights also known as ‘gym wars’ in sparring — it puts unnecessary miles on the clock that boxers do not need at all.
The problem is, and this goes for fighters of today as well, some have iron chins and are unbreakable mentally as fighters and men but they should not really on this strength all the time as there is smarter ways to box than this.
Boxing is about hitting and not getting it and still, fighters can do this and still be exciting, they don’t have to go toe to toe all the time like that.
