Mike Tyson in his prime was a feared heavyweight that the world has never seen the ferocity of since, a phenom of a talent at the time, that lit up the world and to this day still is the youngest heavyweight champion of all time.
An amazing fighter that knocked people out, cold, often early on into a bout.
His younger days under his original coaching and mentorship team of Cus D’Amato and Kevin Rooney forged his legend in his teens and at the age of 20.
A young man knocking out men much bigger and stronger than him brutally for fun, a man who loved his work and you could tell by the quality of it, a real student as well of the history of boxing and actual warfare itself, both armed and unarmed combat over the centuries in human civilization.
He knew the art of mental warfare itself as well and often had opponents defeated before he stepped into the ring, they were afraid of him in his prime and they were right to be, he was a real killer.
Why Peak Mike Tyson Was the Most Feared Heavyweight Ever
Lennox Lewis years later before fighting (and beating an old not trained or in shape way past his best Tyson) said he wanted no part of Tyson in his younger days.
That from his own rival is a testament to Tyson in his peak being the most feared man the division had ever seen.
These days Tyson is killing it as a world entrepreneur and still the most powerful man in boxing in more of an ambassador role these days and can be found all around the world regularly in the East and West.
It is difficult to see a prime Tyson ever coming along again but Moses Itauma in the UK at the moment has shown much promise.
