Turki Alalshikh and Claressa Shields are two of many reacting to the big news in boxing today that Terence Crawford has hung up the gloves.
At the age of 38 Crawford has officially retired.
Despite the fact he was still getting better as a fighter even at 38.
Proven recently in his career best fight and win against Canelo Alvarez all the way up at super-middleweight.
Turki Alalshikh and Claressa Shields React To Terence Crawford Retiring
Shields said a short time ago on the X platform:
“Congrats @terencecrawford on your retirement I’m so like devastated but I’m so happy for you! Idk why I’m teary eyed you know! You deserve the best! You earned it! You the greatest!”
Fight organizer in the Middle East Turki Alalshikh said a boxing glove, heart brake and prayer emoji on the X platform.
Crawford will be badly, badly missed from the entire sport of boxing, internationally, worldwide.
In a year that saw the deaths of the likes of Titans such as Ricky Hatton and George Foreman from boxing, Crawford hanging up the gloves is a big shock to the sport of boxing.
He could have easily boxed on for years into his 40s and battered everyone and beat Mayweather’s 50-0 record if he wanted.
But, he chose to hang up the gloves.
The US must look into giving some sort of federal or national award for Crawford soon, a superhuman American fighting man, far more advanced of anything in these times in unarmed combat that the country produced.
In all aspects of fighting, mental, physical and spiritual, Crawford is a better fighter in these times than Jon Jones.
Crawford will forever be the pound for pound King of boxing.
Have a good next career move Crawford.
