Gervonta Davis is well known as one of the best pound for pound boxers in boxing but there’s much more to him than just that.
He is a very bright man no less away from boxing and a real fighter in every way a man can be in boxing and outside of boxing. The guy is quite brilliant some times with his wild cutting kill shots on social media when he decides to float in and float out of the X platform occasionally.
Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee applies to the ‘Tank’ bombs he drops on the X app that often go viral quickly but are so X rated he usually deletes them quickly.
But he knows the value of quick win attention in marketing for real boxing fans and they know he hasn’t gone anywhere despite headlines that suggest otherwise.
Davis has had some outside the ring distractions this year and for us, he boxed a little too much in his draw with Lamont Roach earlier in 2025, when he should have been putting more pace and mustard on the shots and had a bit more venom in his fighting in the bout.
Never Underestimate Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis
There needed to be more spite and malice in the ring when he was on there but was boxing off the back foot too much at times and using too much of the sweet science.
What made him brilliant before was sure his sublime boxing ability and skill but his ‘Tank’ nuke-um mentality when he gets a fighter hurt and in trouble, some of the great things about him was he would not let them off the hook.
And he would always move in for the kill.
Don’t underestimate him.
He will be back big.
Still one of the best fighters of these times and a genius away from boxing in his own way.
He’s a real believer of Jesus Christ as well unlike a tiny few satanist boxers who claim they are but are not.
Don’t believe some of these boxing trainers and boxers putting up on Twitter that Jesus is their lord and all this, a tiny number of them are full of garbage and crap and don’t mean it.
They are a tiny number though, test it all.
Davis is legit.
What’s more, he’s a real fighter not just in boxing as well, a proper fighting man and he will be back big shortly in boxing, he is still relatively young and can go as far as he wants.
