Neither Jake Paul or Muhammad Ali are anywhere near the league of Muhammad Ali’s class and never will be, let’s be clear.
Muhammad Ali is an icon of the sport of boxing and humanity and defeated opponents his entire life, only for fighting on too long, that’s the only mistake Ali made.
He could have done anything and been successful at it in truth, that’s the genius of the man. He just fought on too long and shouldn’t have fought on that long. Simple.
Ahead of Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua on December 19th there has been some wild quotes bringing up Ali even at times.
Jake Paul thinks he’s Ali Joshua knows he’s just the guy Ali would have battered
Paul is very confident and that’s good but no way he’s Muhammad Ali, what he is doing though in this generation is disruption and pioneering like Ali did in his time however — Paul is leading the way in a new tech age for the sport of boxing.
Joshua while a former heavyweight champion would not have landed a glove on a prime Ali, who would toyed with him and boxed the ears off him before stopping him mid rounds if they fought.
It would be great to get Ali’s view on the fight and everything happening in boxing at the moment, no doubt he’ll be back here on the Earth one day and he will have some promotional pointers for the likes of Jake Paul and other boxing promoters.
