Oleksandr Usyk is the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world but the fight he wants next here is going to surprise many in boxing.
Usyk gave up the WBO title recently but he’s still the undisputed champion at heavyweight.
No one knows who he will fight yet but he appears to be getting itchy knuckles again, ready to get back in there to fight again soon.
So much so he’s been at awards in boxing and gala dinners in boxing recently — getting back around boxing people again.
Usyk Reveals Shock Surprise Next Opponent Target
Speaking in a video interview earlier on Boxing Scene Usyk revealed he actually wants to fight former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder next up.
That was unexpected to most.
Wilder had a comeback win earlier this year and a stoppage win in a low key small hall show in the US.
He did well in it though and went into it kind of without a trainer a few days before.
Obviously he’s a big name and can punch harder than most so if it happens, it is a big sell regardless what anyone says.
People will tune in at the end of the day.
