Manny Pacquiao'S Son Continues Family Boxing Tradition

Pacquiao senior, wife Jinkee Pacquiao and Filipinos around the world tuned in to see Manny Pacquiao Jr’s professional boxing debut on Saturday night in California, USA.

It was only his first professional fight and he had only had ten amateur fights before that, which, was important to remember afterwards.

The bout was scored a majority draw and some thought the other debutant as a pro deserved to get the decision.

They can always run it back but the 24-year-old Pacquiao did show the most important attribute of a fighter of them all.

Heart.

There was a moment when both boxers went toe to toe and exchanged leather.

Pacquiao Jr did not shirk away from this and was happy to engage fire with fire when he had to.

Of course professional boxing is a game of skill and he’ll need to fine tune his boxing skills going into his second fight but overall the future looks bright if he sticks with it.

They are not afraid to match him tough either by the looks of it — which will only benefit him.

Maybe his training set up can be looked at next wherever he is going to be based — early stage development as a novice pro will be key for him.

Pacquiao was candid on his son’s performance here this weekend.
