As times goes on and boxing expands more and more as a sport internationally, very fast soon as well, it is good to see some old stuff no longer needed in boxing being got ridden off.
Good riddance as well.
One such concept is the whole idea of building crazy padded records protecting a prospect’s unbeaten ‘O’ as a professional in some sort of vein attempt to market him better and get him better fights.
Wrong.
so long to that defunct idea and notion in boxing.
The UFC paved the way in MMA (mixed martial arts) to help get rid of that rubbish in boxing as well. nowadays fighters can of course lose a fight and come back and still be just as marketable of even more so in their next fight.

Pending on how they lost and how they boxed in the fight they lost in.
If they gave it their all or it was a close fight, in many cases the boxer’s stock goes up.
Without the need for some shady way to try to maneuver him through the rankings without actually being in real fights then get to world title level and be found out as a hype job or not
genuine professional world championship caliber in the first place.
The new age of professional boxing where the best are fighting the best more often is already much better than the old one — for fighters and fans.
