Why Champions Are Both Made And Born

Why Champions Are Both Made And Born

The old saying says that punchers are not made but they are born is also said in the same breath as another one.

In that champions are not made but are born.

Maybe there is truth to the punchers are not made but are born saying in boxing, okay, maybe there is truth in that.

Although, we have seen many times fighters improving their knockouts and punching as their career went on.

Lennox Lewis and Oleksandr Usyk come to mind in that regard in the heavyweight division.

Why Champions Are Both Made And Born

Usyk has gone from cruiserweight in recent years to heavyweight battering and knocking out people all of a sudden, much bigger than him.

The added weight has really helped Usyk’s punching power and he’s punching well and accurate and punching harder than ever at the moment.

On the champions are made and not born, maybe there is a split bit of truth to both things.

Mike Tyson once said its not the size of the man but the spirit in him that makes the purest fighting man and warrior.

Tyson a student of war from a young age and not just a sweet science expert, Tyson maybe knows more about war and conquering opponents than any other fighter in history.

If the spirit of the man is intact he can conquer any opponent, Tyson basically said one time.

So, some of this maybe born into the person and maybe as life goes on the spirit is tested, but gets stronger as time goes on if the faith in God is genuine.

Not faith in some p*** ant Satan who is just a creature that God created and could throw in the bin anytime he wants.

So is a champion really born or made?

Maybe a little from column a and column b.

Could be right, could be wrong.

Alas, boxing is coming into an outstanding place soon. Rest assured.
