The boxing world has reacted to the death of one of its fighting sons who was an Olympian and not long ago challenged for the world title.
Death has claimed the lives of many in boxing this year unfortunately.
Most of them in heaven now though.
The latest boxer to go was 39 year old Vanes Martirosyan from Armenia who fought in the 2004 Olympics.
He also as a pro challenged Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin for the middleweight title in May 2018.
That was to be his last fight. After a two year battle with cancer he has now died at the age of 39. A young man dead and gone from boxing once again.
