David Benavidez Makes Strange Claim On Dmitry Bivol

WBC light-heavyweight champion David Benavidez had a good although expected win this weekend in Saudi Arabia and had an odd claim after.

He stopped Anthony Yarde of the UK inside the distance in the seventh.

Afterwards he called out Gilberto Ramirez and said he was interested in moving up in weight to cruiserweight to fight for his title there.

He said however that Dmitry Bivol, the current King at light-heavyweight and undisputed champion at the weight class, didn’t want the fight with him.

A great fight if it can be made at some point.

At the end of the day if Benavidez wants to prove he’s the best at light-heavyweight he will have to fight Bivol at some point.

There is nowhere for him to hide now. Bivol is not going anywhere.
