Gennady Golovkin set for new role in boxing as some big news follows him in the ring and outside of it in recent times in the sweet science.
Golovkin also known as ‘GGG’ of Kazakhstan is recognized as one of the greatest middleweight champions that ever lived.
In his prime, a boxer-puncher who would have lived in any era and competed with any top flight champion at 160 pounds.
He was already the Chairman of World Boxing ahead of the next Olympics.
The organization responsible for governing amateur boxing at the Olympics, that is.
Now however he is set to become the President of that organization shortly.
Even more influence on amateur boxing.
Great news for amateur boxing and boxing as a whole.
