Why The Heavyweight Division Is Still The Most Unpredictable And Best Division In Boxing

Even after all these years heavyweight boxing is alive and well and still proves some old sayings still, even after all this time, to be very true.

Heavyweight boxing is different to the rest of boxing as they simply hit different.

The old saying where one punch can change a fight still rings true to this day more than ever.

So does the saying where one punch can change a life for a fighter in terms of opportunities.

You have to create the opportunities in life and not wait for them, heavyweight professional boxers understand this more than anyone.

Taking at opponents that get in the way in sport or life is part of life, they must be eliminated if heavyweight fighters want to climb the ranks of the must unforgiving division there is in boxing.

Why The Heavyweight Division Is Still The Most Unpredictable And Best Division In Boxing

Recently Joseph Parker, the former WBO heavyweight champion from New Zealand was being positioned for a shot at undisputed heavyweight King of the world in heavyweight boxing Oleksandr Usyk of Ukraine.

Enter Fabio Wardley of the UK.

He other ideas.

Wardley only took up boxing at around 22 and at 30 he flipped the tables to stop Parker against all the odds, out of nowhere, when many thought Parker who was in great form in the division and a man improved under new trainer Andy Lee, would beat him.

Not the case.

Simply another example where heavyweight boxing shows to be unpredictable once again.

The tales of fights like that and the likes of Andy Ruiz stopping Anthony Joshua and many other fights continue to happen in boxing.

No one thought Usyk would absolutely run through young former IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois like he did earlier this year as well.

That’s why people, even general sports fans who are not big boxing fans, love the heavyweight division.

It is unpredictable.

It is the big hitters.
