Boxing fans are nostalgic and this marketing tactic bought into the emotion of fans who wanted to see would it spur on Eubank Jr on the night.
It did.
He won the fight in really what was one of the best fights of the year so far.
So much so we have a rematch to look forward to this coming weekend between the two.
It is not clear if the rematch will do as well numbers wise because that novelty will have been gone now with Eubank senior.
But the fight sells itself based on its own merits of being a cracking fight last time out that created one of the best fights seen in some years maybe in the UK.
