Lewis Crocker Reacts To Becoming The World Champion

Boxing is flying as a sport so well at the moment and doing so well it would be easy to forget another new world champion at the weekend.

That is Belfast’s Lewis Crocker.

Boxing is back to the good old days of Muhammad Ali and those now, it really is, hence why there is so many world title fights happening at the moment.

Crocker won the IBF welterweight title at Windsor Park in Belfast over Paddy Donovan last Saturday night.

A close win but a win nonetheless.

Speaking after the fight he said to the Stomping Ground podcast:

“Like, I visualized this for so long—how tonight would go, hearing the scorecards. It was obviously a close fight, but with the two knockdowns and then hearing a split decision of 114-113, that’s like. If you’re visualizing something as a kid, that’s the name you want it to be.”

Well done to both boxers on a close fight on what was a great weekend for the entire sport.

Worldwide.

Well done Lewis Crocker on becoming the world champion.
