Soon Netflix will stage two huge but very different boxing events on their platform, the world’s biggest streaming platform in major news for boxing.

Next month on September 13th the first one when Canelo Alvarez takes on Terence Crawford in a legit professional world title, and super fight at super-middleweight.

Then November 14th in what some are saying now might be a hybrid pro boxing match between Jake Paul who might outweigh Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis by around fifty pounds.

Speaking to Fight Hype world champion Rolly Romero said of it all:

“Jake Paul and Tank will draw a bigger US audience, especially with younger fans and certain communities. But Canelo’s fight will be huge in Mexico and Latin America. It’s different fan bases. In the US, Tank’s fight might edge out, but globally, Canelo’s could be bigger.”

Romero recently won the world title by defeating US boxing star Ryan Garcia on points by UD.

Both events are very different but both will grow the sport of boxing and the product, that is professional boxing, to new audiences.

That is good for boxing as the more boxing gains the better fights there will be between the best fighting the other best boxers there will be.

It is a net gain either way for boxing.

Boxing literally can’t lose.

Can only win.

Canelo vs Crawford is the big one from a sporting sense of course.
