Carl Frampton Speaks About Gervonta Davis vs Jake Paul Fight Being ‘Insane’

Former super-bantamweight champion of the world Carl Frampton from Ireland knows all about big fights but even he is surprised.

Sure, there was some talk about a possible Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis but everyone wants to fight Jake Paul now from boxing because of how famous he is and how much money he brings.

Many other world champion boxers as well went to fight Jake Paul, he brings mega commercial players and organizations to his events/fights.

But when the fight was made, we, and everyone in boxing, were taken back by it.

So was Frampton who said to Boxing News:

“It’s mental, absolutely insane. Gervonta Davis probably walks around at 150 pounds or a bit more, but he’s short—I’m short too, so I can say that; he’s maybe a little shorter than me. The size difference with Jake Paul will make it tough. Davis is a far better boxer, but weight divisions exist for a reason. If Jake lands a clean shot, it could be trouble, but I think Davis is too smart to get caught like that. Jake could use his size to hold and sap Davis’ energy, but if anyone’s getting knocked out, it’s Jake Paul. Davis is too clever to let that happen, even against a bigger man.”

Others have said that about the size of Paul as well.

If knockouts are actually allowed it will be surely something Paul will look to go for with the sheer size and weight difference he’ll have.

Davis will look to outbox him and we guess stick and move and counter punch him, bust him up, and maybe knock him out with a body shot on the outside or chin him on the back foot with an uppercut.

Davis vs Paul will be a major event in boxing. That much is certain.
