Watch: Beterbiev and Bivol In Contrasting Places Ahead Of Still To Be Confirmed Trilogy

Beterbiev And Bivol In Contrasting Places Ahead Of Still To Be Confirmed Trilogy

Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev are surely Russia’s two greatest ever boxers and a trilogy fight is still very plausible soon according to latest boxing news.

Most expect the trilogy fight to be confirmed in the weeks ahead.

The delay about it is some are trying to get the fight into a super fight and stadium in Russia to the masses in Russia.

Something that would be a first in Russian history for the great country of Russia.

In terms of seeing a super fight between world champion boxers in front of more than 50,000 people or so.

Ahead of the expected fight, with the first being a draw and the second being won by Bivol on points — Beterbiev is the one in the gym focused and Bivol is in Italy travelling (per the above photo in Pisa):

With Pacquiao showing at 46 (almost 47) recently that fighters can compete for world titles at the highest level now well into their 40s, Beterbiev is in good company there.

He is even more of a clean liver than Pacquiao and with the added weight, it is slightly less of a challenge for the heavier fighters to fight on in their careers.

As for the trilogy, let’s see what happens, should be made official very shortly. Standby.

What a fight, and event, it promises to be.

The only other time a stadium fight in Russia really happened in big time boxing was in Moscow a few years back.

It was in the World Boxing Super Series men’s cruiserweight final between Oleksandr Usyk and Murat Gassiev on July 21th in 2018.

That particular bout was held at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow.

An indoor arena, not an outdoor stadium, though.

At the time with 24,000 fans in attendance.

Usyk won — unifying all four cruiserweight world title belts.

Now Usyk is unified heavyweight champion of the world of course.

The Beterbiev vs Bivol 3 fight and event would be far bigger an event than that fight in 2018 of course.

Two of the best light-heavyweights in boxing today, without doubt.
