Shakur Stevenson put on a clinic and masterclass of boxing and fighting this weekend in New York in a fight that saw him show his fight game.
And then some.
He defeated the ferocious William Zepeda of Mexico but showed heart, boxing skill, defense and offense when he had to.
Oscar De La Hoya Reacts To Shakur Stevenson Masterclass
Speaking after the fight to Fight Hub even Zepeda’s own promoter and multi-weight world champion Oscar De La Hoya said:
“Hey, Shakur’s bad***. He did his big trip like (Pernell) Whitaker.”
When a rival promoter says something like that you know Shakur Stevenson is the real deal.
It is all about chasing greatness, he knows that, all he’s got to do is stay injury free and stay interesting.
He will go far to say the least.
Even Terence Crawford called Shakur Stevenson ‘great’ this weekend.
