Carl Froch although he thinks Wilder should retire is still looking at what might be next up for Wilder in terms of opponents in 2025.
Wilder made a successful comeback on Friday night to the sport.
Winning in a 7th round TKO stoppage in Kansas, boxing behind the jab and dropping his opponent multiple times before the stoppage.
Speaking on his podcast and now world renowned show ‘Froch on Fighting’ Carl Froch said of what might be next for Wilder:
“Who’s next for Wilder? Anthony Joshua? Fabio Wardley, Dave Allen, or Derek Chisora? Those matchups could excite heavyweight fans. Chisora and Allen are nearing the end, but Wardley’s rising—could he handle Wilder’s power? It’d be a big name for Wardley. Eddie Hearn might eye Joshua vs. Wilder, as Wilder’s still a draw.”
Certainly if Joshua is going to do a three fight deal then it makes sense to have Wilder as one of those names.
Still a big money fight not just in the UK and US but Africa, Europe and around the world as well.
Wilder will need to get a new boxing trainer in place soon.
