Deontay Wilder Talks Tyson Fury And Anthony Joshua Fights After Comeback Win

WBC heavyweight champion of the world Deontay Wilder is back in the frame and mix of some big money fights again in boxing.

That’s how professional boxing and heavyweight boxing works.

If you have a big name and brand still in the sport, and you come in like Wilder did and chalked in a stoppage win, you get moved ahead in the line.

Deontay Wilder Talks Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua Fights After Comeback Win

Speaking on possible opponents next up he didn’t rule out big fights with the likes of Tyson Fury (again a fourth time) or even Anthony Joshua after all these years:

“Um, is not an issue of opponents for us. I’ve been getting calls already. Um, if you look around the landscape, there’s not many big heavyweight fights that you want to make. There’s a few Deontay can figure into any of them. But last year, when we took off, he never, you know, people this, that, I just read things I said and I never spoke to the person, and it happens. But we have gotten calls from the top fighters because there’s very few matches that are good. I mean, Usyk is fighting Dubois again. Um, who else? Fury is retired. It could be him and Joshua. It could be, um, a few others, but not much. And we don’t want to fight for the sake of a payday. We want, want to not only fight to win, we want to be able to defend it once he wins, like he did with the WBC, and hopefully, and I believe that the things that derailed him have made him stronger, and now he’s going to show it.”

Even though the Joshua fight is some years passed when it was discussed, it would still be a fun fight for fans.

And a very big fight still in the UK and US for both Joshua and Deontay Wilder.

A very big fight for them no less.

Stranger things have happened.
