It has now been confirmed only the day before his big comeback fight to boxing that Deontay Wilder has split with his trainer going into the bout.

Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder returns to heavyweight boxing on Friday night in Kansas.

He will not have former trainer Malik Scott in the corner however.

It is understood the split was amicable.

The decision on the above would have been made earlier this week, simply confirmation a short time ago with it being official.
